What is an affirmation?  And why would you want to do it?

An affirmation is a statement.  People often use affirmations for different reasons, but mostly to overcome negative or self-sabotaging thoughts.  So, why would you want to do it?  Because it will help you to cultivate a more positive mindset and a more positive mindset makes for a happier person.  Most people I meet want to be happy!

The most effective affirmations are:

  1. Short and to the point.
  2. Are positive and use positive words.
  3. Are inspiring statements.
  4. Make you feel expectant when reading or saying them.

Affirmations can be used on many different subjects.  Your health or body image, abundance and/or money, becoming great/your greatness, feeling good, belief in yourself, these are just a few suggestions. You can affirm anything you want to create in your life.

Some examples of affirmations:

  • My body is powerful.
  • I am attracting great abundance.
  • Money flows in large amounts into my bank account.
  • I am limitless.
  • I believe in myself.
  • I can have anything.

There is creative power in the words you use.  Monitor what you say and see how things change around you.

Affirmations should be repeated daily.  You can write them down or speak them.  The more you do it, the more you will believe what you read and say. The more belief there is, then things begin to happen.
